The artist colony of Kirkcudbright is your perfect holiday haven. Kirkcudbright and the surrounding countryside has been the backdrop for painters and sculptors for generations, for example the ‘Glasgow Boys’ were drawn here by the inspirational views and exquisite natural light. Arts and Crafts continue to be an important part of the town and many artists still live and work here – there is a wide variety of gift shops selling crafts and galleries.

Kirkcudbright is located on the southern coast of Dumfries and Galloway, in the South West of Scotland. It benefits from pleasant temperatures thanks to warm currents from the Gulf of Mexico.
